All these programs for the price of a download, and many of them work in Windows and in Linux. For instance, instead of switching to Linux and then running Windows apps, you could switch to multi-platform apps such as Firefox and OpenOffice in order to get people used to the new tools and _then_ switch over to Linux.
Just my $0.02 worth. While this is not what you asked, you might find that the headaches from switching programs are far less intense than the headaches of running Windows programs on Wine. My last experience with Wine was very encouraging, but it was not what I would call "successful".

hi,
i am new to ltsp, currently we are using mixed linux servers and windows 98/2000 as clients. i am planing to migrate to linux terminal server and having also linux as clients, but i cannot migrate to linux entirely at one time, so i need to do it phase by phase starting from the server to clients. my questions is about configuring the server, right now our clients are running applications like ms office, web browser( Internet Explorer), yahoo messenger and irc, i would like to ask what would i need to configure in the server to have these applications running? in my understanding i need to install wine for ms office?
TIA,
wesley
