Hi
I am placing computers 486 as LTSP clients and I'm experiencing troubles
with the lines that should select the network cards mocules, as their
memory address and IO. The lines in my file dhcp.conf (DHCP of the ISC)
are writen as follows:
#####################################################################
option option-128 code 128 = string;
option option-129 code 129 = text;
(When I take the line off, the service fails when I start it.
Even when I write this lines, the error is still the same
and
option option-128 e4:45:74:68:00:00;
option option-129 "NIC=3c509";
or
option option-129 "NIC=ne IO=0x300";
or
option option-129 "NIC=via-rhine";
#####################################################################
When I write this lines, the error is:
Could not automatically detected the network card.
PCI cards are should be detected automatically.
ISA cards can not be detected, so they require the NIC driver to be
specified in a "NIC=" parameter to be passed on the kernel command line,
usually specified in the option-129, in the /etc/dhcp.conf file. See the
LTSP docs for more info.
Kernel panic: attempted to kill init!
#######################################################################
Someone can help me?
Wagnei
