Jean,

can you show us how you set it up in lts.conf ?

The serial device is compiled as a loadable module. If you don't specify
the serial port properly in lts.conf, the module won't get loaded, and
you won't have a device node in /dev

If you specify the port as:

   PRINTER_01_DEVICE = /dev/ttyS0

It should automatically load the serial.o module, and the device node
should majically appear in /dev
