I migrated from Slackware 8.0/ LTSP 3.0 to Mandrake 10.0/LTSP 4.1 recently.

Had some issues:

1) tftp on Mandrake runs chroot so the default tftp path was not valid.

2) Had a problem with OpenOffice menu' s being very slow - problem was solved by copying LTSP3.0 keyboard maps into the LTSP 4.0 tree. ( not a Mandrake issue at all)

3) Experienced intermitent client crashes with Mozilla - problem was solved by enabling swap space on the server for every client. ( may also not be a Mandrake issue)

In general I'm dissapointed with Mandrake - for some reason the disk partition tables are all screwed up - but I understand this to be some weird kernel 2.6 thing.

Will wait till the flimsy thing start falling over and then "migrate back" to rock solid Slack.

does anyone succeed to run ltsp 3 on a mandrake10 system without
problem?
or is it better to upgrade to ltsp-4?
