I have an Iwill motherboard with an on-board VIA Rhine.  The VIA Rhine
has never worked reliably with any kernel.  Recently, with a 2.6
kernel, it was working for a few weeks and then it crapped out with
lots of "malformed packet fragment" or something like that.  I haven't
bothered to try it again.
