What version of LTSP are you running? Show your lts.conf.

It appears to be vaguely related to doing processing/graphics -intensive work. For example, having three or four Mozilla windows + OpenOffice appears increases the likelihood of a freeze.
The workstation is a P133 with 32mb of RAM. Any idea what might cause this? Thanks.
