It's _not_ if you setup your local network to live behind a router (the LTSP server can be the router machine, having two network interfaces - one for internal networking, 192.168.0.x or similar and one for internet-connection). This is a very common setup.


btw I never heard of anything like static DNS allocation - you probably mean address allocation?
