Hi
I have a number of computers I am trying to boot
from an LTSP server. The DHCP server is on
192.168.1.1, and everything else (i.e. TFTP,
NFS, etc.) is on 192.168.1.3.

Some of the clients have an onboard NIC with
3Com PXE 0.99j.03, and work fine. However, most
have a PCI NIC with Lanworks / 3Com MBA v4.00
and Intel & Lanworks / 3Com PXE v2.00, which
does not work. It successfully gets its IP
address, and also says 'DHCP IP: 192.168.1.3'
and 'GATEWAY IP: 192.168.1.1'. However, it fails
to connect to the TFTP server, giving the error
message 'PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout' after a
while. Nothing shows up in /var/log/messages on
the LTSP server (192.168.1.3).

Does anyone have any idea why this isn't
working, and what I can do to fix it?

Andrew Walbran
