Have a look at "who". It will give you IP or hostname of each logged in 
user... then you need to filter by session type (X / shell sessions) and 
username, and extract the IP (might be a hostname instead if a hostname is 
listed in /etc/hosts, but a hostname in DISPLAY is fine).

Many applications support the "-display" parameter, which would be a tiny bit 
cleaner I think. Try and see.

Also, you might need to use "xhost" in the login scripts to give yourself 
permissions to access the users' X. Run "xhost +" for testing, it will 
disable the access control.
