# Wireless configuration - I know it's possible, but I couldn't find any docs on it. This is the one that worries me the most. From what I understand, it's not going to be a standard part of the LTSP installation, but a considerable customization. Fortunately I am planning on using the local hard drive for the installation.
At some point, it will be a standard part of LTSP, but right now, there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything we want to do. One of the big gotcha's with the current wireless cards is that most of them require additional non-free firmware. which means we can't include them in a package. We'd have to provide a utility for you to go get the firmware and add it to our wireless-package yourself. Not impossible, but it does take time to work out the details.
Is there any experience with this on 4.x with a known free driver?
I have an orinoco gold card that I would like to put to some good use. While it's drivers are freely available (my criteria for buying anything) I am asking if there's any way to "hack" a wireless package for 4.x.
