Hi all,
a'm trying to install ltsp-4.1 on gentoo and i have
referred the ltsp on gentoo document. aas the steps
specify i have done throughly.
know and booting the client with bootrom
screen start and standstill at saying.
rc.sysinit completed, switching to multi-session mode.
i don't why this stucks up here.
is this because of and entry missing in inittab.
is because of xdm service
i have put two lines at end like so in inittab
# Used by /etc/init.d/xdm to control DM startup.
# Read the comments in /etc/init.d/xdm for more
# info. Do NOT remove, as this will start nothing
# extra at boot if /etc/init.d/xdm is not added
# to the "default" runlevel.
##x:a:once:/etc/X11/startDM.sh
x:a:once:/etc/X11/startDM.sh
x:5:respawn:/usr/X11R6/bin/xdm -nodaemon
and when i check with /var/log/xdm.log
am seeing only a single line saying
xdm error (pid 30476): error 98 binding socket address
177
i don't know what to do
Any suggestions are gratelly appreciated.
