Gudmund, As Jim and Tim suggested, you're best option is to upgrade firmware on your NIC or the BIOS. If you cannot do that here's a link to Peter Anvin's syslinux site where he explains the issues and potential workarounds: http://syslinux.zytor.com/hardware.php. If you need help implementing any of the suggested workarounds let us know - be sure tell us what distribution you're using.
