I am just trying LTSP 4.1 but have problems to boot the client. My server card: SIS 900 PCI, client card RTL8139(A) PCI. For booting I am using floppy Etherboot ver. 5.2.5 (image eb-5.2.5-rtl8139.zdsk). I used ltspadmin to install all the packages for 4.1
After boot starts I received the message (...): > Mounting root filesystem: /opt/ltsp/i386 from 192.168.0.254 > pivot_root: pivot_root: No such file or directory > Mounting the devfs filesystem > mount: Mounting /devfs on /dev failed: Device or resource busy > Running /sbin/init > exec: /sbin/init: No such file or directory > kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
Browsing through this list I found advice to create /oldroot in /opt/ltsp/i386. After doing that I received the following message:
> Mounting root filesystem: /opt/ltsp/i386 from 192.168.0.254
> Doing the pivot_root
> /linuxrc: /usr/bin/[: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: echo: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: mount: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: mount: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: /usr/bin/[: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: /usr/bin/[: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: umount: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: /usr/bin/[: No such file or directory
> /linuxrc: echo: No such file or directory
> exec: /sbin/init: No such file or directory
> kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
But now I do not know what to do next. Where is the problem? Thanks for any help.
Peter
