Given that you have the time to experiment: Try to mount the SMB shares manually and see if it helps. If it does, put it in a script that can be run on thinclient startup and shutdown. A change in how samba shares are set up might help: There's a small modification to /etc/rc.localdev in the mailing list archives (I think about october, give or take) which puts all devices behind one samba share, instead of one share per device. > Threads "Access to local devices with Konqueror" and perhaps > "Announcement: Yet Another LTSP Removable Media Solution" might be > interesting. Perhaps there's more in the archive. Patrick: The post pretty much only referred to http://www.fredtun.no/ltsp/index.htm ... this is my little pet. It works well in testing, however it hasn't been that much in use yet (the next time I will get a chance to get back to this one is in january, and unless you have a little time to waste I guess you shouldn't do it...but have a look anyways). // Dag Sverre ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
