All,

Thanks. It is now working.

There were a couple of additional issues (one due to my use of a soft link as
well). But ... when installing 4.1, an entry in /etc/exports did not get
created correctly. It wanted to export /opt/ltsp-4.1, not /opt/ltsp-4.1/i386.
Changing and exporting fixed that issue.

Also, the new kernels get installed in /tftpboot/lts/2.4.26-ltsp-2 (for
example). However, my dhcpd.conf filename was still referencing
/lts/pxe/pxelinux.bin (for PXEClient) and /lts/2.4.26-ltsp-2 otherwise. I
copied (cp -r) the new 2.4.26-ltsp-2 directory contents to /lts/pxe and reset
the filename in dhcpd.conf to /lts/pxe/pxelinux.0 . Just referencing
/lts/2.4.26-ltsp-2/pxelinux.0 directly works as well. Not sure if others make
these same mistakes.

I get a max sessions error from xdmcp on occasion, but hitting return a couple
of times solves the problem.

It all seems to work now. Now to upgrade the other two K12LTSP boxes to LTSP
4.1. I think I made every mistake possible with the first system. ;)

Sound works (at least for TuxMath), although there is still a slight lag. I
can't test sound in Mozilla (using mplayer) right now with the state blocking
all streaming audio , but this is another issue that the teachers want solved,
so I'll try to address it tomorrow. And ... get the new floppy support (and
flash drives) working properly. Flash drives just need usb-storage added (I
think, I have it working, just have to review how).

Again, thanks !!!! This really helps, especially as the School Board of
Directors are looking to open a K-4 school and have asked if we can use
(K12)LTSP for all the systems there as well. (In fact the Board Director just
dropped by and we were discussing the issues while I was troubleshooting. He
was impressed with the responsiveness of the ltsp support list).

SIncerely,
Dave Hopkins
