I have recently stumbled onto nomachine's famous nxserver/nxclient. >From googling around, there has been a few discussions on installing nx on LTSP. There is a howto for K12LTSP ON criticalcontrol.com.
And there is a bit of README doc which comes with the nxclient for linux from www.nomachine.com. Has anyone got it working properly? And is there a howto out in the open? As of now, I have been able to setup nxserver on my FC1 ltsp server and connecting to it from window box, FreeBSD box and Debian obuntu box. I have also been able to do port forwarding from outside my firewall and connect to the LTSP server on 512/128 ADSL line. You have to see it to believe it, the response time is very very impressive. IMHO, vnc is obsolete. Haven't tried citrix before so I can't comment. However, reports are that it is better than citrix as well. I am working on putting the nxclient on the workstation directory so that the workstation will connect to LTSP server with nxclient. Will report on the progress.
