I noticed with autmount you can't see the directory unless you open cd into the directory. I'm not sure if it works if you go into konqueror but i know it doesn't automatically appear when your using open office.

Hi List

I'm trying to set up local devices for floppy and CD support.

I modif'd /etc/ltsp.conf and made sure that the servers smbmount is suid root.
Upon opening a shell on the client I see supermount work fine (trying it out
with a CD)
On the client (in X) if I open konqueror and do like:

smb://IP_OF_THIS_WORKSTATION

I get two dirs, floppy and cdrom. And they work as expected, showing the
contents of the locally inserted CD.

But I was looking for a directory in /home/my_user_account/drives/...,
that would then contain the floppy and cdrom directories.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong or not doing?
