Dear All,
We are successfulyy running LTSP 4 on a RH ES 3 server with about 10 workstations in our Library. On top of this we are running Direqcafe 1.4 for managing the users time that they spent browsing the Internet. We would like to expand this year, once our new Resource Centre is complete and and put in more LTSP workstations, up to 50 WS's more, which would make managing the time users spent on the workstations and internet quite difficult.
I'm looking at Linux/Unix based software that would allow our students to make reservations for the workstations in advance and then control the time they spent on the workstation as well. So far I have only found one commercial package that would serve this purpose that is Linux based and all the rest are for Windows.
Please let me know if you guys know of any other similar packages and whether anyone is using LTSP for a similar purpose.
