However, if you meant that ALSA would help you to set up sound with LTSP in general (as in, helping you to get the sound from the server to the thin-client) then no, it won't do that. The situation will be the same then as now. It doesn't matter what you run on the thin-client, the important thing is what you run on the server. (You either need to set up esd, artsd, nas, or for best results MuNAS, though that is not free).

So assuming I have the ltsp sound module installed. I have to add the ESD server as well?
And that's it, it _should_ pretty much work from there?
ESD shouldn't affect my workstation/LTSP-server?
