Hi All

opinions valued:

I m going to build some clients to use for MythTV.
LTSP-server app approach does not work well. (video-jitter, client=256M)
I wish to avoid all of the sound-deamon trauma.

Standalone X-servers work perfectly. (TV across the network, not as in
local TV cards)

Since I have done lots with lbe: flash clients, ram-root clients etc etc
that part is easy (thanks Jim)

So I will either use ltsp, with mythtv and mysql as local apps as my clients

or

I will use SuSE 9.2 minimum graphics, mythtv, mysql, gdm (autologin) NFS
as per LTSP, but rw not ro and hence 1 filesystem for every client (about 600M)
ie my clients will be full linux-machines with NFS root fs.

There are pros and cons to each proposal.

James
