The lowest spec PCs on the market today are way over-specified for use as thin clients. However, setting up apps to run locally is still a pain.

I saw some postings about the "Zero install system" http://zero-install.sourceforge.net/ and wondered if this was a way forward. Could an LTSP server be set up as a Zero install server to give painless running of local apps on thin clients? the best of both worlds?

Any thoughts? any experience of Zero install out there?

Thanks - John
