I have a problem with a computer that is equipped with a realtek nic. The computer is connected to a test ltsp server that serves 2 other computers with no problems. From that I conclude that dhcp, tftp, X, nfs are configured and working correctly.

The computer with the realtec nic, gets its dhcp information like the ip number, gateway etc succesfully. After that it starts the kernel image download, but it almost immediately returns with the following error msg:

Segment [00092200, 0092400) overlaps used basemem [00091C00, 000A0000)
I have not found similar cases for the ltsp project. What does it mean? Does it mean e.g. that the ethernet boot image is not suitable for the card that hosts the realtec chip and can I better stop using this card? Or is it possible to tweak the etherboot image so I can continue using it (I use the default settings from the rom-o-matic). I have tried previous versions of the realtec images (5.0.11 up to 5.2.6). The 5.0.11 image does not work at all, the 5.2.x images all result in the above mentioned error.

Realtek nic generally work just fine. Try the latest 5.3 release from romomatic.
