I am attempting to compile some drivers that I need for a tablet device. I've set up the 4.1 LBE, and have compiled one of the drivers. It compiled without error, but when I did a modprobe, it complained that the driver was built for 2.4.26-ltsp-1 but I am running 2.4.26-ltsp-2.
I changed ../lbe/kernel-src/linux-2.4.26/linux-2.4.26/include/linux/version.h to read: define UTS_RELEASE "2.4.26-ltsp-2" and the driver again compiled properly. Now when I do a modprobe, it complains that the module is not found. However, when I do an insmod, the driver loads perfectly well and performs as it should. What do I need to do to get the module working properly under modprobe? John P.
