Folks, what can I say? This is the second time in a couple of weeks I've
put out a call and the community has responded brilliantly.

Thanks to everyone who emailed possible solutions and comments; I have
solved this particular issue by using "pkill" - I didn't know it
existed!

I only downloaded the rpms for the beta recently and hadn't thought how
far the development would go in such a short time. I fully appreciate
that Beta means beta!
