I just got this to work myself. You need to copy both the public and private keys to each user's $HOME/.ssh directory, like so:
cp /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub /home/whatever_user/.ssh/authorized_keys cp /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key /home/whatever_user/.ssh/id_rsa Now, edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config, uncommenting these two lines: PubkeyAuthentication yes AuthorizedKeysFile .ssh/authorized_keys Good luck!
