Hi folks,
Recently I upgraded to 4.1.1. Everything works fine so far, so I didn't expect any problems.
Then I tried to call my own account over LTSP (normally I log in via X from another machine to that account) and found that two apps wouldn't start properly anymore.
These are ksysguard and mc. While ksysguard starts up but never shows any values (just hangs), mc will turn the terminal black and then stop, BUT ONLY WHEN YOU CALL IT FROM THE HOME DIRECTOY! Strange though, when you cd into another subdirectory, mc will start properly. No problem as well when you su as another user and call it from there.
The server is a Suse 9.1 running KDE. The problems appeared on every client I tried to log in, old P1s as well as newer ones, different graphics cards etc.
I now heard that some students have difficulties with Word (running under cxoffice) not displaying a certain button anymore. As far as I remember, this problem wasn't there before.
Any idea?
