i am a long time LTSp user, with a lot of installations , all working with great satisfaction. Lately, i talked to the school director of my daugther, and he seems interested in the LTSP approach, but he wants too have the windows network keeping control of everything, like users and shares. i suppose i can do LTSP on a server and authenticate on that windooze machine via samba. can i have the home dirs of the users on a windows share ? is there a performance impact on this kind of approach ( should work for +- 30 users ). i hope i can persuade the school director, so they can go along with LTSP and other great OS packages !
