Try to build a custom xorg.conf file in which you disable all DPMS and
power saving settings. You cand check those settings with xset
on the client beforehand ('xset q' will show you the settings).
Look in the 'xset q' output for 'Screen Saver' and 'DPMS'. Also try anothor
video monitor, that could be the problem also.
