I am trying to figure out the best way to approach booting a laptop with a Xircom PCMCIA disk in it. I tried the old wireless utilities for the LTSP, but the card is not correctly detected by the image.
We have both a hard disk and a floppy available on the laptops, and bootstrapping somehow would be acceptable to get things started. I have also played around a bit with trying to get syslinux to work. A DOS syslinux will boot off the hard drive, but not an extlinux one. I wasn't sure how to get the image big enough to boot the kernel and inited though with a floppy size limitation. Can you Tom's root boot will load and sees the card okay, so I can download things to various paritions that way, if there is an image I can just write to the drive. Trying to create a lilo seems to always fail on this system... Looking for ideas, and I keep trying... Leah -- Leah Cunningham : d416-585-9971x692 : d416-703-5977 : m416-559-6511 Frauerpower!
