Hi,

I wish to know if it is possible to use local device
with current version of LTSP (4.1.1).
I ve tried for a few days, and I m getting lost.

I ve tried the solution found on wiki, with the LDA
scripts. I do everything right, but on terminals,
after login, in /home/$user/drives there is a FILE
named floppy, not a FOLDER. After trying to read the
file (with kwrite for exemple), the file becomes a
folder, and then i can read my floppy. But when I
change floppy disk, sometimes it crash my konqueror,
or becomes a file again and my trick to read it doesn
t work anymore. It s not something that I can deliver
to my users. Has anyone a solution ??

Before this, I ve tried to fellow the guide provided
on the ltsp.org website. I ve downloaded smbfs,
autofs, change the /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf,
auto.master, auto.misc...... done everything as it was
written, but my /misc is always empty, and in my sslog
on server, i can read "automount error.. failed to
mount /misc/.directory" ...

I tried the 2 solutions, but none is working
properly.Did anyone succed in mounting a local floppy
(that works fine)???
Thanks
Ray
