Hi, folks. Firstly, I would like to apologize for any annoying word I could use, because my english is not, hmm, let's say, so good as it should be.
Well, my problem is the following: I am not using LTSP, but I have a doubt that you guys may help me - it doesn't have to do with Jim's LTSP, but with starting X... Well, I just created a bootable root with debootstrap (Debian) and installed a basic X Window System there. But I don't want X to query a display manager, I would like to startx with a regular user and run a remote window manager. Well, the thing is: what would be better? xhost + rsh? Or ssh -X? PS: Oh, in this particular case, I would run some "please wait, now loading..." background with xloadimage, locally, before calling the remote window manager. -- Eduardo Costa Lisboa ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
