Brian, You'll need the X libraries, some X client programs take your pick: xterm,xclock,xeyes,Gnome,KDE,firefox,OpenOffice
You'll also need a display manager, such as XDM, GDM or KDM. But you do NOT need an Xserver on your server. There's no reason to run a GUI on the server.
