Several of the tests in x11perf take longer than the 45 seconds to
perform, therefore GDM assumes the session is dead, and it kills it.

After rebooting I tried to Xmark on the datafile created by the benchmark and it noted that the file was incomplete, lending weight to the idea that the benchmark crashed gnome. I think this is probably the case. Thanks, Jim.
