if I use gdm I have issues with terminals restarting every 15 seconds (ping ws150 failed whacking display), so I drop gdm and use xdm, now it works as I want it to work. the thing is that I don't have a clue where to put the LDA-setup.sh LDA-shutdown.sh scripts because it is not documented in the wiki, so question #1 is: in xdm where do you put LDA-setup.sh and LDA-shutdown.sh. I use SuSE Pro 9.3 and use xdm for my ltsp setup and I put the shell scripts in the directory as specified here: http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/LocalMedia which says to put the scripts in /usr/local/bin and then I edited /etc/X11/xdm/Xstartup (for LDA-setup.sh) and /etc/X11/xdm/Xreset (for LDA-shutdown.sh) and added the path to the scripts under the #!/bin/sh line.
