But it seems that FC3 doesn't use nasd nor esd; on KDE's control panel, only by
setting the sound system to Alsa will give me sound from her server.
I've googled around, but I've yet to find any hint/clues on how to set this up.
Any pointers will be very much appreciated.

In fact KDE has support for ESD (Enlightment Sound Daemon). That will
give you sound on the workstations. If you are sitting on the server you
could probably set it to ALSA anyway, since it will directly talk to the
server soundcard instead of sending the sound stream through the network
as ESD would.
