Hi Everyone.
I have Debian Sarge installed with LTSP 4.1.
All works pretty good but my thinclients are born I think.
I would like to give them some work.
1. Which project is better in yours opinion: MOSIX, OpenMOSIX.
i work with openmosix
2. Mosix have two versions: grid and cluster - could someone describe
differences in short?
Which is better.
3. I looked for some how-to describes simple installation Sarge, Mosix
and LTSP but nothing founded. Can anybody give me a links for similar
sites?
i look too but i don't find something very good
so that's what i have done:
i am testing the same (sorry for my bad aenglish)
i work with openmosix
Until i test with success with kernel-2.4.20
Why? because in google i find a complied ltsp-kernel
http://www.lpmo.edu/~daniau/ltsp-mosix/2.4.20-openMosix-2-stuff.html
it is working with 6 thin clients
i try now with kernel 2.6, i download lbe
http://www.ltsp.org/cvs.html
and ./build_all
(it takes a very log time)
after I go in lbe/kernel-src, I change in linux-2.6.9 the package.def 2.
second line for patching openmosix , cp patchopenmosix in directory (the
same where supermount patch is)
and in made in kernel-src
build --clean
build --build
ask me if i want openmosix yes
build
in directory kernel i the new kernel, i put kernel-ltsp in
/tftpboot/lts/vmlinuz-2.6.9-ltsp-3-om
change dhcpd.conf restart dhcp
the client starts but crash i don't find modules (it tells me that the
file in /lib/modules/2.6.9-ltsp-3-om/modules.dep is not there
tomorrow i test again, if you like we could meet us in irc.freenode
#ltsp or #openmosix group michel is my (nick)name
if you have ideas please tell me
regards
michel
