Nobody took me up on my offer... possibly because there was no
sugar-coating on the descriptions. Oh well.

If anybody's interested, it's first-come-first-serve.

If I don't hear from anybody, they go to the trash heap.

All my old projects that I never had time to start...

I have a bunch of old servers/workstations/thin-clients that I'm getting
rid of. I don't think they're worth much (have followed EBay on items I
thought might be worth something, but they don't seem to sell for
anything worth asking for), so I'm not going to sell them, but, the
"buyer" will be responsible for shipping charges.

Fine print: I won't be responsible for anything that doesn't work. If
it's DOA, it's the "buyers" trash, and the shipping cost is lost.

With that caveat, if there are multiple folks who want the same item(s),
I'll decide based on what's most convenient for me (i.e. person will
pick up in Utah, or person wanting many items), most needy (i.e.
non-profit organization), and lastly: first-come-first-serve. Of
course: my seemingly arbitrary decisions will be final. It'll probably
be 2 weeks before I can reply, as I'll be really busy for the next two
weeks. Unless there's a special need, it'll take a month to figure out
"who gets what". Sorry about that.

Any mistakes are unintentional...

I don't know if much of this works, and won't have time to test it.
Much of this was demo equipment given by OEMs to a thin-client vendor
turned settop box vendor, who's now long out of business. Most of it
pre-dates Y2K. I think you'd be best served to think of this pile as
salvage replacement parts for your existing equipment. I have pictures,
but won't post them here to reduce the signal-to-noise ratio (just ask,
and I'll send).

Servers:

        1) HP Appolo Server 735, w/ kbd/mouse setup and RGB cable, but
no monitor. My memory says we got it new and never got it
        working.

        2) Dec 3000. No KVM. I don't have a monitor to check this
out... it has a special RGB connector, kinda like Sun's, but it
only has the RGB "pins" (that look like miniature RCA jacks).
If my memory serves me correctly: it was working fine when we
decommissioned it. I'll keep looking for the video cable.

        3) Sun SparcStation 10 (NOT an Ultra). No KVM. Works fine,
boots an elder RedHat. Makes a derogatory remark towards my old
        boss while it boots.

Workstations:

        4) Sun Sparc Classic. If my memory serves me well, this worked
fine before I decommissioned it. I horked the memory long ago,
and can't find the right memory for it (I found the specs on the
net, but don't have any). No KVM. Probably boots an old
        Solaris.

        5) Sun Sparc Station 1+. It says "1" on the box, but I upgraded
it with some Weitek kit or something like that to a "1+".
Worked fine when I decommissioned it, but I can't remember the
incantation to boot it. RedHat was on there. I also have a
        spare motherboard. No KVM.

        6) I have three Sun monitors: 15", 17", and 21" (those are
guesses). The two smaller ones have the built-in sun
cable/connector and I can verify they work. I no longer have
the right cable for the big one... if my memory serves me
correctly, it was heavily used and not looking to well when it
        was decommissioned.

        7) One Sun Keyboard and Optical Mouse. The space bar doesn't
spring back easily when depressed, many of us old folk are like
        that ;)

Thin Clients

        8) 3 (count) of some sort of HP. One has "Norm 33+ATI"
hand-written in it. They have 50W Sony power supplies. Some of
        the chips include:

                o HP 1MW8-001
                o AT&T Regatta 100
                o NEC 30200GD

        9) 2 (count) HP Entria II. These don't have internal power
supplies, but have the same chips as in #8.

        10) 3 (count) TekXpress models xp338 and xp330UP;05... the third
doesn't have a model number on it, but has the strange case of
the other 2. These are strange-looking cases.

        11) Tektronics Netstation (also says model XP419C).

        12) HDS Viewstation, also says [EMAIL PROTECTED]

        13) Neoware something or other. I have the original box! I
checked into this at one point, and found out it was a
Windows-only thin client, so I abandoned it.

Thanks,

Chris
