Sudev,
the 'x' permission on a directory doesn't mean that people can't
"execute" things in there.
the 'x' permission on a directory is for "Search" permissions. if you
don't have 'x' permission, you won't be able to see the contents of the
directory. Are you sure that's what you want?

jetdirect printers also getting blocked. Doing a "chmod +x /tmp" fixed

Question is why? and can this be setup so that we can retail non-exec
flag for /tmp?
