Hi, I have encountered such problems in the past. I accused the floppy drive or the floppy disk itself and spent hours without finding out what was going wrong.
I still don't know, but I just burnt a CD with the same rom from rom-o-matic and could boot without problem on the CD drive. Why is still a mistery to me, but if you are in a hurry you could have a try. I hope it helps. Good luck.
