Bob;

Thanks for the tip - this seems to be the best option my equipment.
No mouse droppings and something I didn't expect: It's 18% faster
with "NoAccel" than with "Accel" and 23 % faster than "VESA".
I did some crude measurements using "x11perf" to get these
results.

I don't know how to explain it, but that's the way it works.

Tom, try this in the lts.conf:

XSERVER            = nsc
X_DEVICE_OPTION_01 = NoAccel

Thanks for the tip.
I put the entries in the lts.conf file and verified that it generated the
correct entries in the XF86Config-4 file, but the "mouse droppings"
persisted.

It finally went away when I enabled the shadow framebuffer:

   Option "ShadowFB"

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hello;

I am using a new thin client with the following specs:

  *Processor and System Chipset:*

  · AMD GX2-466 333Mhz processor

  · Front side bus 33/66 Mhz

  · AMD CS5535 chipset
[..]

try the SWCursor and HWCursor options in you xorg.conf (to 'true' and
'false'). For more
details, see 'man nsc'. You may want to use a custom xorg.conf file
for that client, see
the lts.conf.readme file.
