Hello,

Thanks Tim for your answer. It works now. Actually, the culprit was the 
cable !!!

I take the opportunity to warn any new user of LTSP, because I think that lots 
of them are using, like me, second hands or old hardware, about the 
importance of double checking your cables and switch(es) before wondering for 
hours why strange things happen.

I have installed half a dozen times LTSP networks, and had some server or 
client randomely crashing because of stupid things like that.
