 Amarok can use gstreamer, xine or arts for audio output, so you'll
have to configure that part to work with esd. I know that gstreamer
can use the esdsink so try to configure amarok to use gstreamer and
gstreamer to use esdsink. I think those both configurations can be
done using the amarok interface (I use amarok on my desktop with
gstreamer and configured with the alsasink).
  OT: amarok is a very resource consuming application, depending on
the number of clients using it can become a memory/CPU hog.
