Subject: xdmcp help
hi,
thanks for ur help on my previous request
now i got struck with xdmcp
in my /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf, i had enabled to true under XDMCP
i am also getting output for sudo netstat -apn | grep ":177 ", but no
results for sudo ps -e | grep " .dm"
and also while running ltspcfg, it could not find any xdm, gdm running
on ubuntu 5.10 linux box
please help.
thanking / sithi
This sounds like what I was saying. I believe that ltspcfg's test for a
running display manager is just looking in a couple of standard places
for gdm, xdm, kdm and their respective .conf files. Ubuntu organizes it's
files a little differently. Make sure the paths to these files, gdm and
gdm.conf, are in the ltspcfg script. There is a place near the top of
the script for setting the search paths.
