I also am using mplayer embedded in firefox on 7 library terminals. I've seen three or four of them running mplayer simultaneously. There is some audio lag but it is acceptable. The server is a fast-pentium-don't-know-what with 1GB ram. A gigabit ethernet link to a switch and 100mbs to the terminals.
I would like to get it working better because I want to get my pc out of my bedroom (too noisy) and enjoy a silent xine/xmms home entertainment system (dreaming). Chris.
