- in SuSE10, in "/opt/kde3/share/config/kdesktoprc", I do: [ScreenSaver][$i] Enabled=true Lock=false Priority=19 Saver=KBlankscreen.desktop Timeout=240 This prevents the users from selecting another CPU consuming screensaver - and forces a blankscreen screensaver into use.
