I'm thouroughly confused, and I suspect you are too.  WHERE are you
plugging things?  Are you actually walking over to the server box and
plugging things in there?  Or are you trying to plug things in on the
thin clients?  Plugging things into the server when you have multiple
people logged into the server is going to have indeterminite results,
because, from the servers point of view, how's it going to know WHO to
assign the usb device to?  It ends up (on debian/ubuntu) giving rights
to anyone in the "plugdev" group, I beleive. You say you're plugging
things into the server, then give me mount results that indicate you've
got things plugged into the client.  What devices do these clients have?
Have you worked through the multi-step debug procedure I've put on the
wiki?  How about giving me the results of the step-by-step results of
that procedure?

Then maybe I can start to help you.  But right now, this is just a
confusing mess.
