I am running gentoo, did an ltsp-4.2 tgz-install, then added the missing
lbussd from the rpm.
My terminal is VIA EPIA 533 MHz.
The first time after boot when I plug a memory USB stick, nothing
happens. From the log files I see that udev is not doing anything, and
the blink light on my stick does not show any data access. Removal seems
to have no effect either: nothing happens in the log files.
But when I plug in the USB-stick a second time, everything works fine!
The log file says 'udev detected add of disk' and I can access the
USB-stick. Same when I try 3rd time etc; only the first time there is no
response.
From the info in the log files, and the flash pattern on the memory
stick LED, I would say that the problem is with udev somehow; can anyone
give me a hint how to debug this?
Thanks,
Z.
