hello!
i have this settings in my ubuntu 5.10 system,
[xdmcp]
enable=true
$ ps -e | grep "dm"
6394 ? 00:00:00 gdm
6399 ? 00:00:00 gdm
$ netstat -apn | grep ":177"
udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:177 0.0.0.0:* 394/gdm
however, doing this:
$ ltspcfg
i still get this in the config screen:
xdmcp no no no Using: none!
if on my client i run
rdesktop, i would get
ERROR: Failed to open display:
but using if i run startx,
i would then be taken to linux login screen.
i need to run rdesktop, what's with "failed to open display" error and
the result of ltspcfg about xdmcp? why can i run startx but not rdesktop?
