Hi,
I am trying to setup an LTSP network that will work nicely with a Netware 6.5 network. The biggest reason for having them on the same network is cabling and old switches.
I am trying to use etherboot clients that get their dhcp info from the novell server, and then boot to the linux server. I know this can be worked around with MAC address exclusions and then using DHCP on the LTSP server, but I wanted to make it work a little cleaner than that.
The biggest stumbling block seems to be the Novell DHCP Server. I can get the client to receive an IP address and most of the info, but when the client tries to load the kernel, the IP address for the kernel location is 0.0.0.0/tftpboot/kernel . I can’t seem to find a field that would correspond to what it is on the Novell DHCP server option list. Or is this field a Linux specific DHCP setting and not compatible with other DHCP Servers?
Just wondering if anyone else has been down this road and can offer any suggestions.
Thanks
Keith Chapman
