Sorry my mistake, I have used the ubuntu one, but while compiling my
post I seem to inadvertently copied the wrong link into the text.

The one thing we are doing is testing on a self complied kernel with
these wyse terms. So my job for today is to get two of our old dells
optiplexes to boot from a textbook install of ltsp 4.2 on ubuntu dapper
using instructions to the letter on the website. Thus replicating your
setup...right?

Logic has it that If we have any problems here then the problem must lie
in the difference between your install and our install right? 

my problem is knowing how to get you the information needed to tell the
difference and find that fault.
